3D Ultrasounds

Traditionally, expectant mothers undergoing an ultrasound have only had the option of viewing their baby two-dimensionally. Today, 3D ultrasound technology gives moms to be the ability to see images of their babies that-- before the advent of 3D ultrasounds was simply not possible.

During a conventional 2D ultrasound--images are made up of a series of thin planes, allowing only one plane to be viewed at a time. A 3D ultrasound has the ability to show the baby in much more detail including his or her facial features.

Parents-to-be love 3 dimensional ultrasound technology, as it often allows for parents to feel that special bond with their baby even before he or she is born. 3D ultrasounds can also sometimes detect the presence of certain conditions, such as a cleft palate, that may not be visible with 2D technology.
